Seeking Demonstrators for the May 8th WebInno

April 14, 2006 | 6 comments

This upcoming WebInno gathering is going to have two different formats for the demonstrations.  As in the past, the meeting will start at 7pm with a couple of five minute presentations to the entire crowd from self-funded start-ups (aka “main dishes”).  In addition, we will also set up tables at the periphery of the room for informal demonstrations by innovators to smaller groups during the schmoozing session (aka “side dishes”).  My hope is that by having both formats, it will better provide the community a glimpse of current local endeavors in the space and offer the basis for further conversation.

The presenter profile remains consistent: ranging from a sole innovator hacking on a new idea/service to a founder of an emerging new business which hasn’t yet raised institutional funding.  And the demos are just that – live demonstrations of a product or service – not intended to be a “pitch” for capital-raising purposes.  The goal is highlight people and companies who are on the edge of web and mobile innovation in the Boston area in an effort to share and promote new ideas.

If you or your company meets the above profile and is interested in participating in either of these forums, I encourage you to inquire about the possibility by e-mailing me with an overview.  Keep in mind that the space is limited, as I hope to select those demonstrators who will most enrich the community.

If you are interested in presenting in either forum and fit the profile, please contact me at david at webinnovatorsgroup dot com. [...]
