WebInno12 Recap and WebInno13 Date: July 9th
Thanks to everyone who came out for the Web Innovators Group event last Tuesday night. As per usual, it was a great gathering of folks from the local entrepreneurial web and mobile scene.
David Evans, Gopal Shenoy, and Greg Peverill-Conti all have great detailed write-ups of the event covering their (differing) opinions on the good, the bad, and the ugly of the presenting companies. But they all agreed that the event itself was a success:
“Webinno isn’t really about demo’s, it’s about the networking… Lot’s of people who know how to Get Things Done.” - David Evans
“The things I like the most about the event are: 1. Getting to see some latest products/technologies companies are working on; 2. The networking - you get to meet some great minds to talk about what is going on in the tech world; 3. The format of the event… I would definitely recommend this event to anyone in the tech space to attend. You get to meet some great friendly people to chat over a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.” - Gopal Shenoy
“Having a venue like this for early stage companies - and the people that play around them - is important and WebInno is fostering a real sense of community.” - Greg Peverill-Conti
So mark your calendars, the one and only WebInno for this summer is going to be held on Monday July 9th. The location is still TBD; keep an eye on the blog for further details. As always, please do RSVP on the wiki f you are going to join us at http://webinnovatorsgroup.com/wiki/webinno13. Updated details about the event will be found on that page as well. I’ll sort out companies for demo’ing a few weeks beforehand, if you and your startup is interested in participating, but the sooner you reach out to me with an indication of interest (david at webinnovatorsgroup dot com), the better.
See you in a few weeks.
